NDA Graduates 314 EFCC Detective Cadets

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has completed the training of a fresh batch of 314 Detective Superintendent of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) months after a first batch of 189 Inspectors passed out. The Public Relations Officer (PRO) of NDA,  Major MA Yahaya in a statement yesterday, said that cadets had completed a 13- month long training at the Academy and passed out after a very colourful parade at the NDA Ribadu Campus.

Yahaya said this brought the total number of EFCC operatives trained by the Academy to 503, both in the Detective Inspector and Detective Superintendent cadre of the EFCC. Speaking at the Passing Out Parade in honour of the cadets, the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Ibrahim Idris, who represented President Muhammadu Buhari, charged the cadets to see themselves as tools in actualising the war against corruption in Nigeria.  He warned them to resist the temptations that would arise in the course of their service to the nation, noting that their being EFCC operatives did not make them immune from prosecution if they faltered and took the path of corruption.
