Art-Alive, MJ Set to Float Skills Academy for Less-privileged

As a way of giving back to the society and empowering the less-privileged, using the youths as a point of contact, Mauritius giant investors, MJ Development has extended it hand of partnership to Art-Alive, a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) to establish a skill academy to develop and engage young Nigerians. As specialists in properties and tourism, MJ Development stated that its partnership with At-Alive will weave tourism and art to give opportunities for artistic creativity emerging from the tourism.

Founder of Art-Alive, Mr. Lanre Adegoke noted during a media chat recently said that MJ Development is known for contributing to the society in Mauritius and saw the need to support the youths by partnering with Art-Alive and also to promote inter relation tourism and property investments in Nigeria. Adegoke said the opportunity will build a relationship with the foreign investors helping young people and the homeless, introducing property development and also encouraging tourism as a centre of attraction.

“As an ambassador of my country Nigeria where ever I go, I put the flag up for my beloved Nigeria. Ruel and his team didn’t listen to any negative things that were said about Nigeria and they came here. They are going to introduce my charity to the association of property developers in France, they know about the potential Nigeria has and ready to do business in Nigeria and Mauritius. It’s a new venture and I am positive about my beloved country Nigeria building a relationship that will be an indelible print in their heart.”

MJ Development Manager, UK and Africa, Mr. Richard Vessot, explained that the company also runs an NGO based in Mauritius to assist people who are not rich in everything which they thought they could extend to Nigeria to also assist youths who are less-privileged. Richard further said, such activities will open windows of opportunities of introducing the properties and resorts to Nigerians who travel to Mauritius as a centre of tourism and investment.

“We also run an NGO, Collective Black River, based in Mauritius with the sole aim of rendering assistance to those who are not rich in everything. Partnering with Art-Alive is a way of merging property and art for development.
“We want Nigerians to visit our maintained resorts whenever they travel to Mauritius. It’s a way of exposing them to activism. We have come to make partnership in business and fetch other opportunities here in Nigeria to move forward,” he said.

The Chief Executive Officer MJ Development, Mr. Micheal Ruel, added that the partnership will convince people to buy into their projects and indirectly interceding in the academic activities by giving opportunities to participants.
