Activities to mark the 10th anniversary of the death of the late elder statesman and pro-democracy activist, Chief Abraham Adesanya, will take place in May.
The organisers said the remembrance would feature a lecture on the state of the nation, the launching of a book of tributes and a memorial service.
A statement by the Chairman of the Publicity Committee, Prof Adebayo Williams, described Adesanya as â€œa great Nigerian nationalist, exemplary Yoruba patriot and leader, statesman, philosopher, moral avatar and illustrious chairman of the Afenifere and National Democratic Coalition (NADECO).â€
The publicity committee called for â€œcontributions to the book of tributes from the public as well as friends, associates, acquaintances, admirers, well-wishers and fellow travellers of Senator Abraham Adesanya.â€
Â The contributions, expected to reach the committee not later than March 6, are to include â€œscholarly expositions, reminiscences, tributes, eulogies, poetry, memorabilia and rare pictures and other exotica,â€ and should be between 500 and 1,000 words.
