Undertake Viable Projects to Improve People’s Lives, Tambuwal Urges Corps Members

The Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, Monday urged all newly posted corps members in the state to undertake viable community projects that will improve the lives of people in their respective places of primary assignment.

Tambuwal, who made the call at the closing of the 2017 batch B stream 2 joint orientation exercise at Wamakko NYSC Orientation Camp in Sokoto State, added that the corps members play a strategic role in impacting positively on the lives of the rural dwellers through community development projects.

He noted that the nation was facing enormous challenges of development and meeting them needs collective efforts.

The governor, who spoke through the state Head of Service, Dr Buhari Bello, said the scheme played vital roles in enhancing national integration, and urged the corps members to uphold discipline and strive in attaining the set objectives as enshrined in the scheme.

He advised the corps members to promote tolerance and understanding among all Nigerians as well as become change agents in solving problems and challenges facing the nation.
