RiverBank School Named First WOWBii BUDDZone in Nigeria

There was a ground breaking event in the Nigerian education sector recently when WOWBii Interactive announced that the RiverBank School, Victoria Island, Lagos has been certified as its first BUDDZone in Nigeria.

The CEO of WOWBii Interactive, Terae Onyeje, formally presented the certificate to the Head of School, Mrs. Regina Jemide at the official ceremony held at the school premises.

According to Onyeje, “A BUDDZone is a learning area offering educational itinerary designed to enable educators use technology resources to drive interactive learning.

“The partnership with the school allows WOWBii to deliver an ecosystem that truly reflects 21st century learning. As the foremost proponent of interactive learning in Africa, WOWBii is looking forward to more options to drive EdTech across the continent.

“We are on a mission to transform the way Africa works and learns, one interactive panel at a time. We are continually working with educators to create interactive curriculum-aligned electronic content that will develop a new generation of learners who will play an active role in their learning,” Onyeje said.

The Founder, WOWBii Interactive, Mr. Gbolahan Olayomi, who was also present at the ceremony said: “BUDDZone facilitates sensory-based learning, catering to different learning styles including visual, auditory and tactile learning styles; deepening engagement and improving learning outcomes.”

To augment the immersive learning experience of its SmartBUDDâ„¢ interactive classrooms, Onyeje also presented a 3D printer to the school.

Receiving the certificate and 3D printer, Jemide said WOWBii’s interactive solution brings an immersive learning experience to the children, transforming the dynamics of teaching and learning.

“Technology is the future, without technology, I don’t think anyone will be able to function optimally. The RiverBank School is in the business of raising child leaders, this is the time to let them get in tune with what is happening in the world.

“I believe that WOWBii’s interactive solution will take their learning to the next level such that our children can grow to be global citizens, competing and contributing meaningfully to the larger society,” Jemide added.

Founded in 2009, The RiverBank School is committed to educating the whole child based on Montessori principles and using a Christian and family approach that ensures that the full academic potential of every child is realised.

WOWBii Interactive is the first manufacturer of interactive touchscreens in Africa. In addition to the SmartBUDDâ„¢ suite, it has developed the BUDDRoomâ„¢ suite which offers interactive telepresence that is redefining presentation and collaboration options for businesses.
