AMOTA LOOKS AHEAD WITH HOPE

With an ambitious moniker like, ‘King of Africa’, Adeleke Emmanuel Omosuyi who is also known as Amota is in a hurry to get attention. The 24 year-old who prides himself as a songwriter and performer, started getting more than a passing glance since 2010 when his single titled “Sepe Sepe” featuring Danny Young, earned him two nominations at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards. He was also nominated in the “Best Artist in Afro Pop” category at the 2010 North Central Music Awards and Best Collaboration Category at the 2011 Africa Music Awards.

A new wave of optimism surrounds Amota as his hard work continues to bear more fruits. His songs like ‘Cheaters’ featuring Bamzigi of Kenya, ‘Freedom’ with Drip Maejor & Dj Sticks of Zambia, ‘Ibadi’ featuring DJ Mellowshe of Nigeria, ‘Meji-Meji’ an afro fusion song that portraits the African culture are available on all digital stores and mix tapes.

Amota who has been privileged to perform in some African countries like Togo, Cotonou and Ghana is currently working on a tour of East Africa Tour that will cover Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Zambia. Tagged The King’s Tour, it is scheduled for February, 2018. According to him, his management team including at Dima Empire including his manager, Diamond Sheva have prepared him to take over Africa.

To achieve this, Amota has the services of a whole of professionals as his disposal
Born in Ibadan, Oyo State, where he finished his basic education, he went on to complete his secondary education at Community Secondary School in Ogidi (his maternal home) Kogi State. He studied Environmental Biology at the Kogi State Polytechnic.

Amota started his career in the year 2009, but took a break to pursue his studies. In 2013, he made a come-back with the single “Sexy Lady” produced by Cheepho. The song was nominated for Best Single of the Year category. His biggest influence in music include King Sony Ade, Christopher Martins and Usher Raymond.
