There is tight security at the Eagle Square, venue of the National Convention of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
THISDAY correspondent, who arrived at the venue Saturday morning, noticed a long stretch of security operatives around the convention venue located in the Three Arms Zone.
Though the convention was billed to commence at 10am, delegates started trooping to the Eagle Square as early as 6.30am.
It was observed that only duly accredited party members and journalists were allowed into the beautifully decorated convention ground.
Ballot boxes for the 36 states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory have already been arranged at the voting arena with a policeman assigned to each of the boxes.
