21.8% Tested for HIV in N’East 

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has said that at least 21.8 per cent of persons in the Northeast have been tested for HIV in the last 12 months and the result made known. A Statistician with the National Bureau of Statistics Chioma  Ikemakholam  made the disclosure yesterday  at a one day meeting on the dissemination of the 2016/17 MICs report of the Northeast by the National Bureau of Statistics in collaboration with UNICEF, held at the Chartwell Hotel and Suites in Bauchi. She said that the 2016/17 MICs survey  by the National Bureau of Statistics NBS was the fifth round in collaboration with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency and National Agency for the Control of AIDS, NACA as part of the global MICs programme.
