For Olalekan Adesina Oso, top management-cum-electronic security expert, life is amazing. So, when he joined the league of the golden-aged on Monday, October 23, he felt his 50th birthday celebration should be an occasion for praises and thanksgiving. As expected, Oso’s wife of over 20 years and mother of his kids, Omodunke, along with some of her hubby’s close friends, like Jide Ogundana plotted a golden jubilee soiree last Saturday, October 28 where his equally successful friends and associates celebrated the jolly good fellow. The venue was the Class Events Centre, Surulere where guests were treated to an enthralling atmosphere that flowed with best of choice wine and tasty gourmet.
To those familiar with the ever-smiling Oso, they would attest to his total commitment to excellence and that he is not given to indolence. The Ijesha-Isu Ekiti-born management wizard is one of the best trained men of his generation in agriculture, engineering and management. As the general manager of Datlex Nigeria Limited, one of Nigeria’s leading engineering and security consultancy firms, Oso led the team that installed the first fully electronics anti-robbery entrance door in any Nigerian bank and also led the company which pride itself as the manufacturers of the first indigenous burglar resistant safes and strong room doors.
After obtaining a Higher National Diploma at the Lagos State Polytechnic and Post graduate Diploma at the University of Calabar, Oso moved to the Federal University of Technology, Akure where he however, put a temporary, stop to formal education after his masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the same university where he had to combine his daily expanding business with his ministerial call. The amiable manager of men later attended the Redeemed Christian Church of God Bible College and the School of Disciples after which he committed substantial time to nurture spiritual lives of many across different RCCG parishes. He presently serves as a pastor in charge of the Zone at the New Jerusalem Assembly of Lagos Province 8 under the leadership of Pastor J.A. Adeyokunnu.
