The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), South-south Zone has commended the Southern Governors for the resolutions on the restructuring of the country. The religious organisation expressed delight at the Southern governors coming together again in Lagos after 12 years of their last meeting to discuss and forge stronger ties among people of the Southern Nigeria spread across three geo-political zones. It stated this after a meeting of its leaders in Warri, Delta State which was attended by selected leaders of CAN. The meeting was presided by its Chairman, Archbishop God-Dowell Avwomakpa. In a statement signed by the Special Adviser on Media to the Archbishop, Mr. Ovie Edomi, it described the 2017 Lagos summit of the 17 Southern governors where fiscal federalism was adopted amongst others as speaking with one voice.
