Biafra Debate Re-echoes as LAP Holds Roundtable in Lagos

Renowned industrialist, Mazi Sam Ohuabunwa will this weekend interrogate the national question on restructuring at a round-table by the League of Anambra Professionals (LAP).

 Scheduled as one of the highlights of the Public Presentation of the newly elected LAP Central Executive Committee led by Mr. Chijioke Okoli SAN, Ohuabunwa’s treatise on the restructuring debate would be dissected by panelists including respected economist and former presidential aspirant, Prof. Pat Utomi. 

 According to a statement by the Publicity Secretary of the league, Mr. Emeka Nwadioke, Ohuabunwa will address the topic: “Restructuring the Nigerian federation to unleash regional economic growth centres.” The round-table will also interrogate the raging debate on “economic Biafra.”  

Billed to hold today by 6 pm at high-brow The Colonades, Ikoyi, Lagos, the event would be chaired by former Nigeria Communications Commission (NCC) Executive Vice Chairman, Engr. Ernest Ndukwe.  

The Obi of Onitsha, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Alfred Achebe (Agbogidi) would be the Royal Father of the Day while Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano is the Chief Guest of Honour. 

The League of Anambra Professionals is an association of the cream of Anambra intellectuals and business czars who are committed to ensure that the State remains the leading State in the country through focused development.

Founded in 2004 and fiercely non-partisan, the association is a strategic partner to any government in power in the State towards delivering development and good governance to Anambra citizens. 

Also invited to the event are the Ohanaeze leadership and major Governorship Candidates in the November 18 Anambra Elections who are expected to brief the association on their manifestos and economic development plans in particular.
