PDP Resolves to Win Six N’East States, Presidency in 2019

By Daji Sani in Yola

The Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) has resolved to win the six states of the North-east  and presidential elections come 2019 following the success of its ongoing reconciliation across the country.

The party disclosed this in a communiqué shortly after its North-east reconciliation meeting  which lasted for many hours and ended at 8 pm on Tuesday in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.

Reading the communiqué after the meeting, Senator Folashade Grace Bent, who said that the reconciliation meeting was attended by PDP stakeholders across the North-east, added that the stakeholders had agreed to put aside their differences for the growth of the party.

Bent said the party has reiterated its commitment to continue to reconcile all its aggrieved members within its fold and those outside before the 2019 elections.

She further explained that the party attributed its loss in the 2015 elections to wide discontent within the party due to imposition, and impunity which characterised the affairs of the party and has resolved never to walk that path again.
