OLAKUNLE CHURCHILL SPREADS COAST

In his quest to keep touching lives and further extend his philanthropy to the rest of Africa, business mogul and boss of Big Church Haven, Oladunni Olakunle Churchill, was recently hosted by the President of Liberia at the metropolitan city of Monrovia, Liberia.

On arrival, Liberian government officials as well as teeming Liberians were said to have given Churchill and his entourage a rousing welcome at the airport, chanting songs in their local dialects.

Among other reasons, the visit was aimed at preaching peace in election process among Africans. Besides, Churchill also used the opportunity to launch his agricultural empowerment programme in the country as part of his quest to extend his tentacles and philanthropic deed to the rest of Africa.

Churchill, who was welcomed by the Vice President, Joseph Boakai and other ministers during the visit, was a keynote speaker from Nigeria at an event that held at a stadium in the country. He spoke extensively on ‘‘Maintaining Peace and Promoting a Non-violence Election in Africa’’.

 Churchill, who was said to have wowed the audience with his spontaneous oratory, was conferred with a traditional chieftaincy title at a community called Kamara. He was further alloted 100 hectares of land for agricultural use as a means of diversifying the country’s economy through production of agricultural and farm produce.

During the visit, Churchill, a member of the Lions’ Club, donated eye glasses and gave out souvenirs as well as cash gifts to inmates of a home for the blind.

It will be recalled that his donation to the Nigeria Fire Service,last month, puts him on record as the first ever donor, since theinception of the Service.
