New AOC in Bauchi

A new Air Officer Commanding (AOC) of the Nigeria Airforce Special Operations Command Bauchi assumes duty yesterday. The new AOC, Air Vice Marshal Saddiq Isma’ila Kaita took over from Air Vice Marshal Sani Ahmed who was deployed to Nigeria Airforce Headquarters Abuja. He attended Kings College Lagos, Government College Katsina and was later admitted into the Nigeria Defence Academy (NDA) 34 Regular Course in June 1983 and passed out in December 1986 as a Pilot officer. AVM Kaita was before his deployment to Bauchi the DOM Nigeria Airforce headquarters. He also held several‎ administrative and command posts at various Airforce formations and was posted to the Presidential Air Fleet (PAF) in 2004 after his stint as an Instructor and Lone Pilot. He was Students Affairs Officer 301 Flying Training School, Operations Officer A Squadron 301 Flying School, SO1 Training and SO1 Operations. Other posts he held include; Clearance Officer, Project Coordinator, Second in Command Operations Wing PAF, Fleet Training Officer, Comd 209 EAG, Fleet Operations Officer PAF, Comd PAF and DOM Nigeria Airforce Headquarters from December 2016 to July 2017.
