Three Women Appointed Permanent Secretaries in Niger

Three women, Hajia Salamatu Abubakar, Hajia Ramatu Umar and Mrs Kaltume Dauda, have made the list of 17 new permanent secretaries appointed by the Niger State government.

All the three new permanent secretaries were senior directors in various ministries before their elevation.

The appointments of the trio have brought to six the number of female permanent secretaries in the state civil service.

The other three are Mrs Rachael Yisa, Hajia Safiya Bawa  and Hajia Safiya Garafini.

Governor Abubakar Sani Bello in his Democracy Day broadcast last Monday announced the compulsory retirement of 16 permanent secretaries and confirmation of the appointments of eight others that had been on acting capacity.
