PDP Senate Caucus Denies Allegations against Tinubu

By Damilola Oyedele in Abuja

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) caucus in the Senate has denied reports that its members fingered the National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Bola Tinubu, as colluding  with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to harass Senators.

The South-east  leader of the  caucus, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, while speaking yesterday, said the caucus did not discuss Tinubu at anytime.

“It is far from the truth. We did not at anytime discuss Tinubu at our meeting and nobody accused the EFCC of anything,” he said

Abaribe added that the caucus would not descend so low, as to begin to attack individuals for the sake of vendetta.

He described the report as the handwork of mischief makers.

The report had accused Tinubu of using the anti-graft commission to fight members of the Senate.

It had noted that Tinubu remains peeved that he was unable to foist leaders on the Senate.
