Ondo Poll : Akeredolu Lauds Opponents for not Challenging Result

For not challenging the results of the November 26 gubernatorial election in the Ondo State, the Governor-elect, Chief Rotimi Akeredolu, on Wednesday commended his opponents in the poll.

The time to file petitions at the Election Petitions Tribunal on the said exercise lapsed on Sunday, December 18, 2016, 21 days after the announcement of the result of the poll and none of the contestants filed a petition against the winner of the poll.

Speaking at his hometown in Owo, headquarters of Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Akeredolu reiterated that the election was free and fair.
