The incident, which caused some anxiety at the airport, the source said, was calmed down following the arrival of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) ambulance.
Confirming the incident, the acting Manager, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, who spoke on the phone, said the passenger arrived Abuja, but slumped at the arrival hall of the airport.

However, she could not confirm whether the passenger died or not, adding: “It is true, that an Abuja-bound passenger from Owerri who came with his family actually collapsed.”
She stressed further: “I cannot now say whether, the person died or not, as I’m aware that he came with his family members and had been conveyed to a private hospital.”
