With just 24 hours to his handing over to a new police boss for Oyo state, the State Commissioner of Police, Leye Oyebade, on Sunday disclosed that four suspected assassins found culpable of the gruesome murder of a serving lawmaker in the state house of assembly, Gideon Aremu, have been arrested.

Oyebade, whose 11 months’ tenure as Oyo police boss has been remarkable for a number of successful breakthroughs, was recently posted to Abia state where he is expected to resume on Tuesday.

Just last Friday, Oyebade paraded a gang of armed robbers arrested in connection with car theft in different parts of the South Western states. Some of the owners who came from Lagos and some parts of Ibadan were handed over their retrieved cars after the eagle eye officers of the command had enaured the arrest of the thieves in and around Ibadan, Ibarapa and parts of the state where they were keeping the vehicles.
