Abdulmumin Files Petitions against Dogara at DSS, ICPC, EFCC and Police

  • Vows to dethrone Speaker

The former Chairman of the House Committee Appropriation, Hon. Abdulmumin Jibrin, has filed petitions against the Speaker of House of Representatives and two other principal officers at the four security and anti-graft agencies over allegations of budget padding by the concerned legislators.

Jubrin who had earlier announced his latest move in an effort to dethrone Dogara as the Speaker, said that he will file the petition at the Department of State Security Services (DSS), Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and Nigeria Police Force (NPF) to shed light on the purported corrupt practices by the principal officers.

“My lawyers have confirmed my appointments for today with security and anti-corruption agencies to personally provide insight on my petition,” Jibrin said in a series of tweets.

“We will be at the ICPC 10am, DSS 12noon, EFCC 2pm and Police HQ 4pm. The law will surely catch up with the corrupt Speaker Dogara and others,” he twitted.

The embattled law maker has promised to fully cooperate with the anti-crime and anti-corruption agencies unravel the alleged fraud and abuse of office by the Dogara; his deputy, Yusuf Lasun; Chief Whip, Alhassan Doguwa; Minority Leader, Leo Ogor; and others.

In keeping to his words, Jibrin made his first stop at the ICPC office around 11am where he filled his petition against the Principal Officers.

Afterwards, he went to the DSS headquarters in Abuja, then to the EFCC and later on to the Police Headquarters, Louis Edet, Abuja.
