A total of 1949 corps members made up of 973 males and 976 females have been posted to Kogi State, just as the state governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello assured them of their safety throughout the period of service, saying his government was essentially youths driven. The governor stated this yesterday at Asaya in Kabba, during the Swearing-in and official opening ceremony of Orientation Programme for Corps Members in Kogi State. The governor who was represented by his Special Adviser on Youth Empowerment, Sports and Student Affairs, Arome Adoji observed that the National Youth Service Scheme had been adjudged one of the most successful Youths programme in the world today.
