Inspiro Marks Jazz Appreciation Month

Leading Event Marketing & Management Company and organisers of the annual Lagos International Jazz festival (LIJF) Inspiro Productions has set up plans to also mark both the Annual Jazz Appreciation Month and International Jazz Day with JAM Sessions.
Four JAM Sessions are scheduled to happen once a week at designated venues in the city of Lagos during the month of April and climax with the April 30 International Jazz Day. Jazz Practitioners and enthusiasts are expected to grace the free for all events.

In a statement, Inspiro CEO And LIJF director Ayoola Sadare confirmed the dates for the events at the following Venues-Friday 1 April at The Culture Café, Prince of Anthony Hotel, Anthony Village, Lagos; Friday 8 April at Pop Up Jazz Lounge Lekki I, Lagos; Saturday 16 April at The Ayo Bankole Centre for Arts Surulere, Lagos and Friday 22 April at The Shuga Lounge, Eagle’s Park Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

The Lagos International Jazz festival 2016 which is scheduled to hold between 29 April and 1 May has incorporated both the April Jazz Appreciation Month (JAM) and International Jazz Day on April 30 this year to its programmes. These dates are set apart to promote Jazz and its extraordinary heritage and as a contemporary art form. These two dates are recognised by the United Nations and UNESCO on their official calendars.

Inspiro started this annual International Jazz Day celebration in 2014 when they partnered the US consulate in Lagos to host the International Jazz Day Celebration and also hosted a series of events to mark same in 2015.
