EY Nigeria is set to convene audit committee members, board directors, business leaders, regulators and other stakeholders on November 11, 2026, in Lagos to examine emerging corporate governance, financial reporting and risk management challenges at its Audit Committee Transformation Summit.
The summit, themed ‘Shaping High-Performing Audit Committees’, will be held at The Civic Centre, Victoria Island, with discussions focused on strengthening oversight, improving regulatory compliance, promoting transparency and enhancing organisational resilience.
According to EY, the summit comes amid an increasingly complex business and regulatory environment, which has heightened expectations for effective corporate oversight, accountability and stakeholder confidence.
The firm said the event would provide a platform for participants to examine the evolving responsibilities of audit committees, respond to emerging risks and regulatory developments, and strengthen their contributions to sustainable organisational performance.
Commenting on the objectives of the summit through a statement yesterday, EY said, “This year’s Summit will provide an important platform for sharing practical insights and perspectives on emerging risks, regulatory developments and leading governance practices. It will deepen understanding of evolving corporate governance, financial reporting and regulatory issues, while promoting meaningful dialogue and knowledge sharing among Audit Committee members, business leaders, regulators and other stakeholders.”
The firm added that the summit would strengthen collaboration across the corporate governance ecosystem and reinforce the role of audit committees in promoting transparency, accountability and sustainable long-term value creation.
Participants expected at the event include audit committee chairs and members, board chairs and directors, chief financial officers, finance directors, chief audit executives, internal audit leaders, chief risk and compliance officers, senior executives, regulators and professionals in governance, risk, accounting and assurance.
EY said the summit would also facilitate constructive engagement among stakeholders, enabling them to exchange perspectives on emerging issues shaping the audit committee agenda and explore practical approaches to strengthening governance and oversight.
