Passpoint to Sponsor Africa Blockchain Festival 2026
Financial technology company Passpoint has announced its participation as a bronze sponsor of the Africa Blockchain Festival 2026, scheduled to hold in Nairobi, Kenya, from October 15 to 17.
The festival is expected to bring together technology companies, financial institutions, regulators, investors and other stakeholders to discuss developments in blockchain technology, digital finance and cross-border payments across Africa.
Passpoint said its participation aligns with its focus on cross-border financial infrastructure and digital commerce.
According to the company, its platform enables businesses to access multiple payment corridors across Africa, Europe and other international markets through a single integration, with the aim of simplifying payment collection, settlement and other cross-border financial processes.
Speaking on the company’s participation, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Passpoint, Kelechi Uchegbulem, said the evolution of Africa’s digital economy would require stronger financial infrastructure capable of supporting trade across different jurisdictions.
“For too long, African businesses have had to navigate fragmented financial systems to trade across the continent. The next generation of financial infrastructure will require greater integration across payment systems, digital assets and compliance frameworks,” he said.
The company said it operates under regulatory approvals and registrations in a number of jurisdictions, including Nigeria, Canada and parts of Europe.
During the three-day event, Passpoint said its representatives would engage with regulators, financial institutions, technology companies and other participants on issues relating to cross-border finance, payment infrastructure and digital commerce.
The Africa Blockchain Festival has become one of the continent’s major industry events, providing a platform for discussions on blockchain innovation, financial technology, digital assets and the regulatory environment shaping Africa’s digital economy.
