2027: Niger Delta Ex-agitators Endorse Tinubu For Second Term

Ahead of the 2027 general election, the Niger Delta Ex-Agitators Leadership Forum has declared support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu.

Its National Coordinator, General Benson in a statement issued Saturday said as a body comprising stakeholders who have consistently advocated for peace, stability, and development in the Niger Delta region, it has observed the leadership of Tinubu and was convinced that he deserves the opportunity to continue the reforms and programmes initiated under his administration.

He noted: “The Niger Delta Ex-Agitators Leadership Forum hereby informs the people of the Niger Delta region and Nigerians at large of its unwavering support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

“Consequently, the Niger Delta Ex-Agitators Leadership Forum aligns itself with progressive stakeholders across the region in supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains our preferred candidate for 2027, and we pledge our total support towards the realization of his re-election.”

The ex-agitators urged Nigerians not to be distracted by unfounded criticisms and negative narratives but to focus on the ongoing efforts aimed at repositioning the nation for greater prosperity.

They also commended Mr. Seyi Tinubu for his humanitarian interventions and unwavering commitment to the welfare of Nigerians.

The ex-agitators recalled that recently, he came to the aid of one of its members, an ex-agitator who was critically ill and battling valvular heart disease.

“Through his timely intervention and support, the life-saving surgery was successfully carried out, and the beneficiary is currently recuperating. This noble gesture reflects compassion, patriotism, and genuine concern for the wellbeing of ordinary Nigerians,” the ex-agitators added.

Beyond this singular act, they stressed that the President’s son has continued to impact lives through various youth empowerment and humanitarian initiatives across the country.

The ex-agitators emphasised that his dedication to supporting vulnerable persons and creating opportunities for young Nigerians remains commendable.

The ex-agitators, therefore, called on all Niger Deltans, particularly the youths, traditional institutions, community leaders, and stakeholders of the various ethnic nationalities in the region, to rally behind President Tinubu and support his continued efforts towards national development, economic growth, and sustainable peace.
