CEO Dee Utensils Urges Young Entrepreneurs to Make Good Use of Social Media to Achieve Visibility
The Chief Executive Officer of Dee Utensils, HRH (Dr) Lois Andrew Ihwo, was on Friday, June 12, 2026 treated to a hero’s welcome in her country home, Jos the capital of Plateau State where she participated at a business meeting, Power Move Conference.
HRM. Amb. Ihwo who was one of the guest speakers at the event was full of thanks for the warmth, honour, and excitement that heralded her presence at the meeting.
Describing her reception as deeply humbling, the Abuja-based entrepreneur said her experience showed a prophet can still be honoured in his home.
Posting on the social media, she wrote, “Coming back home to Jos was a beautiful reminder that your roots never forget you. The love, honor, warmth, and overwhelming reception I received from my people left me deeply humbled and grateful. Thank you, Jos, for celebrating your own and for showing me that home is still home.”
HRM. Ihwo who spoke on “From Invisibility to Influence” urged the participants to begin their strategy with a renewed mind anchored on positivity and determination to succeed irrespective of their challenges.
According to her, social media is not a place only for the purpose of entertainment and consumption of contents, but a place to create and share contents on one’s personality, brand, products and services to achieve more visibility.
“Social media is not for entertainment alone. It is for positioning. Do not just consume content. Create it.. Share it”, she said.
Sharing her formula for achieving influence, she said it starts with Visibility to Value, then Consistency before influence could be achieved.
“Visibility gets you seen. Value keeps you relevant. Consistency makes you undeniable. Influence is not created overnight. It is built in repetition”, she said.
She also thanked the Convener, Sylvia Matlong Mbai, whom she called a woman of vision and impact for daring to dream, for creating a platform changing lives, empowering businesses, and raising a new generation of leaders.
Her Dee Utensils also sponsored the Brand Pitch Competition which was won by Smart Learners Education. She also supported young entrepreneurs with the sum of N500,000 each.
This is one of the series of her public engagements where she encourages communities to embrace creativity to achieve success.
Not long ago, she spoke as guest speaker in Abuja at a women empowerment gathering themed Rise With Elegance where she told participants that financial independence should be pursued with purpose, declaring that “women must hustle not out of desperation, but out of vision.”
Her central message focused on resilience, strategy, and the evolving role of women in society.
