AY Stitches 1706 Unveils Woven Grace Collection

Renowned fashion designer and Founder of AY Stitches 1706, Ayokunnumi Emoruwa, has unveiled her latest collection, Woven Grace, during an elegant fashion showcase held on Friday ahead of its official release on June 17.

The event attracted fashion enthusiasts, industry stakeholders, friends and supporters who gathered to celebrate the brand’s latest creative offering.

Founded in 2016, AY Stitches 1706 has become known for its exclusive, statement making designs that combine elegance with contemporary style.

The brand name “1706’’ represents the founder’s birth date, while its reputation has been built on creativity, craftsmanship and attention to detail.

Speaking at the unveiling, Emoruwa described Woven Grace as a reflection of the brand’s journey and values. “Every great outfit has a story, and so does every great brand.

“Woven Grace celebrates confidence, grace and the beauty of wearing something made with purpose.”

Guests were treated to a preview of vibrant pieces featuring striking silhouettes, intricate detailing and artistic expression.

Beyond fashion, the award-winning designer is recognised for her annual corporate social responsibility initiative, Stitching Hope by AY, through which she provides free school uniforms to students in public schools every September.

With academic qualifications including an LL.B, MBA and MSc, she also credits her extensive travels for shaping her design philosophy and global fashion perspective.

As she marks another year of life alongside the collection’s launch, she encouraged aspiring creatives to remain focused on their dreams “Don’t stop, pray for grace and favour, stay consistent and keep believing in your vision”, she advised.
