Dapo Abiodun vs Gbenga Daniel: Supremacy Fight

So Gbenga was the godfather very early in his political career, and Dapo went to him to seek his support to be governor. That one gave him his support on the grounds that when he eventually became the governor, he would support his senatorial bid. This midnight agreement was made under the looming shadow of a powerful Amosun, who had a strong hand in the game. So, these two had to come together; otherwise, they would be toast.

So Dapo eventually won and started running Ogun the way only he can – if I talk now, they will come at me with a press release, so let me choose my words abeg, I no get power.

Now it was time for Gbenga to go back to the Senate, and by this time, power had changed hands, and Dapo was now a kingmaker. Daniel went to him, and Dapo told Daniel – You know, as a governor, it is my birthright to go to the Senate after my tenure. Daniel swore to “Sopona” that at that time he would have been 70 years old and would have no need to go back, that he would have achieved almost everything in politics. They poured spit on their palms and shook to that agreement. Gbenga left to eat Amala, and Dapo left to do whatever he does when he is happy.

Now Dapo’s tenure is coming to an end, and he has started revving for the Senate, but Daniel suddenly remembers that he forgot something in the chamber and wants to go back. Now, wahala has burst.

Roforofo everywhere in Ogun East. Gbenga was locked out of the stakeholders’ meeting, Dapo claims full endorsement, and in all of these, Tinubu, who has the last say in these things, is quietly looking at everything.

There is no way that Tinubu will choose Dapo over Gbenga because when Tinubu had nothing, Gbenga gave Tinubu a boys’ quarter in his office in Maryland, Lagos, to start his political life, as one stalwart told me. Another said, Dapo is a sitting governor and has control of the structure and enormous resources that he will deploy and which he has been deploying as we have seen Gbenga singing inside a coaster bus, as they did not allow him to enter one hall. Also, his hotels and other real estate risked demolition for one thing after another.

Well, as for me, I will not put my mouth because I nearly suffered in Dapo’s hands, and Gbenga has never given me a bag of rice in all of these, so nothing really concerns me. My analysis is just for the purpose of entertainment. Nobody should come and beat me oo.
