Boshan, Melora Aesthetics Host Skincare Experience in Lagos, Emphasise Hydration

A skincare-focused event aimed at promoting healthy skin practices took centre stage in Lagos on April 18, 2026, as beauty brands Boshan and Melora Aesthetics convened enthusiasts and content creators for an interactive session tagged “A Date with Boshan x Melora.”

The event, held at Misan & Co in Ilupeju, brought together a cross-section of user-generated content creators and skincare enthusiasts in an atmosphere designed to merge education with practical application. The gathering underscored the importance of hydration as a fundamental element of skincare.

Speaking during the event, Founder of Boshan, Sarah Iyere, led a product showcase highlighting the brand’s hydration-driven formulations and inclusive skincare solutions tailored for both men and women. She noted that the brand’s philosophy is rooted in simplicity and intentional care, extending beyond conventional skincare products to include complementary lifestyle items such as beard care essentials and silk pillowcases.

Iyere emphasised the brand’s core message, stating that “healthy skin begins with hydration,” while also drawing attention to the role consistent moisture plays in maintaining balanced and resilient skin.

The high point of the session was a masterclass delivered by Adejoke Adeniji, Founder and Lead Aesthetician at Melora Aesthetics, who provided a detailed, science-based analysis of skin hydration. In her presentation titled “Healthy Skin is Hydrated Skin,” Adeniji addressed common misconceptions, distinguishing between dry and dehydrated skin, and outlining practical methods for identifying and treating dehydration.

According to her, “Healthy Skin is Hydrated Skin,” as she guided participants through essential ingredients and routines capable of restoring moisture at both surface and deeper levels of the skin.

The masterclass featured live demonstrations, offering participants the opportunity to observe the real-time effectiveness of Boshan products. Attendees noted visible improvements in skin texture and overall appearance, reinforcing confidence in the products and techniques discussed.

Beyond product education, the event also fostered conversations around skincare as a form of self-care rather than a quick-fix solution. Participants engaged in discussions that encouraged a more mindful and consistent approach to skincare routines.

Industry observers note that the collaboration reflects a growing trend within Nigeria’s beauty sector, where brands are increasingly prioritising education and consumer engagement. The initiative further positions both Boshan and Melora Aesthetics as emerging authorities advocating informed skincare practices.

The organisers also reiterated the importance of consistency, stressing that effective skincare results are achieved over time through simple, well-structured routines rather than instant solutions.

As the Nigerian beauty industry continues to expand, stakeholders say such initiatives are critical in bridging the knowledge gap and equipping consumers with the tools needed for long-term skin health.
