Nigeria Positioned as Major HVACR Investment Destination

With project growth of about $5.6 billion, the organiser of West Africa Infrastructure Expo have said that Nigeria remains a critical market for Heating, Ventilating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR) as the highest import value of HVACR solutions.
Speaking at the inaugural edition of West Africa Infrastructure Expo and HVACR Nigeria, held in Lagos, recently, Senior Vice President, DMG, Josine Heijmans, acknowledged that Nigerian remain a critical market in the HVACR sector globally.
According to Heijmans, “Nigeria is taking major strides in infrastructure development with the hosting of the West Africa Infrastructure Expo but there is need to focus on key areas such as transport networks, power systems, digital connectivity, water infrastructure, and sustainable urban development to foster collaboration and drive progress in Nigeria’s infrastructure landscape and the wider West African region.”
On her part, Deputy President, Nigeria Society of Engineers (NSE), Valerie Agberagba, said that the nation’s infrastructural industry requires such gathering to produce actionable recommendations to policy makers.
According to her, “If we want this to work, then this summit is one of the things that must happen. A summit where people talk frankly, say the truth, and then come together to say, this is what we can do to be able to resolve it.”
