RESH Foundation Restores Hope to 216 Through Free Eye Outreach in Abia
The Chairman of Rescue and support the helpless Foundation, His Royal Majesty King Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, says the Foundation has offered free eye screening, treatment and gave out free Medicated eye glasses to 216 persons who are From different communities in Ukwa East Local Government Area of Abia State.
King Chinyere stated this while speaking with newsmen on Saturday at His Palace in Ikwuorie Ohanku Ndoki.
The Man of God said that he noticed when he traveled home during the festive period last December that a lot of elderly people and young men have eye related problems which prompted these free eye checks , examination and treatment.
” The last time I traveled to the village during Christmas, I found out that a lot of Elderly people and youths are having eye problems so I felt it is good to organize a free eye check and treatment to assist them”
The foundation which is a non governmental organization has been fully into humanitarian works touching lives in a greater dimension.
King Chibuzor Chinyere expressed his happiness seeing people rejoicing as they are being attended to free or charge. He said that one of the greatest gifts you can give to man is his sight, adding that when someone loses his sight it possesses a great problem because you cannot do anything without your eyes.
” I feel happy that one of the greatest gifts you can give to man is his sight. When someone loses his sight, you cannot see, it is a problem because you cannot do anything without your eyes but when you have your sight your problem is 50% solved. I am happy RESH FOUNDATION has put smiles on many faces today” he said.
Commenting on the turnout of people at the two days event, the Man of God disclosed that RESH Foundation will sponsor another Free eye checks, treatment and free eye glasses in December adding that sugar testing and treatment, Diabetes and BP testing and treatment will be added to the next edition of the Programme.
” RESH Foundation will do it again during December time so that it can help the less privileged and we intend to check both the eyes, sugar test, diabetes and BP testing and treatment free of charge “
On why the foundation did not allow the government to do it, RESH Foundation chairman, King Chibuzor Chinyere said that the Government cannot do it alone especially a government that is trying so much for his people, and needs the support of his people.
” The government cannot do it alone. When you see a government that is tying so much for his people all you need to do in our own little way is to support them”
He thanked the Executive Governor of Abia State, His Excellency Dr Alex Otti, OFR for massive transformation in healthcare, road, education, power, critical infrastructures and general well-being of the good people of Abia.
One of the beneficiaries Nwankwo Chinyere says he has been eye issues but due to lack of money he could not go to hospital until today when RESH Foundation organized this free eye check and treatment with free medicated eye glass where he received free treatment and free medications. He thanks RESH Foundation and its Chairman HRM King Chibuzor Chinyere for this kind gesture.
Mr Solomon Nwachukwu who also benefited says that he has been having eye issues for the past five years unable to read but today as he was checked and given medications with medicated eye glass he can be able to read now.
Another beneficiary Chief Lewis Okoro says that he received free treatment, free eye checks and free Medicated eye glass. He thanked the foundation for giving him the opportunity to benefit free of charge.
One of the community leader, High Chief Adiele Abel says that he is grateful to RESH Foundation and the Chairman of the foundation for given him and others this platform to take care of their eyes. He expressed his happiness that he got the treatment and medications with free medicated eye glass free of charge.
RESH Foundation as is in a mission to provide succour to the less privileged in Nigeria and other parts of the world.
