Easter: NYCN Diaspora Calls for Unity, Progress in Nigeria
Mary Nnah
As the global community celebrates Easter, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Diaspora extends its warmest greetings to Nigerian youths residing across the globe. In a statement released today, the President of NYCN Diaspora, Amb. Collins Osazee Idahosa, urged young Nigerians in the diaspora to embrace the spirit of the season, a time signifying hope, sacrifice, and the triumph of light over darkness.
“Easter reminds us that no matter the challenges we face as a diaspora community or as a nation, there is always a path to renewal,” stated Amb. Idahosa. “I encourage every young Nigerian abroad to remain resilient, law-abiding, and committed to the excellence for which our people are known. Let this season inspire us to bridge divides and work together for the collective progress of our homeland.”
As we reflect on the significance of Easter, we are reminded of the power of sacrifice, love, and redemption. It is a time to renew our commitment to our communities, our nation, and our shared vision for a prosperous Nigeria. The NYCN Diaspora recognizes the immense potential of Nigerian youth and is committed to empowering them to drive positive change in their communities.
Building on this spirit of hope and renewal, the NYCN Diaspora is pleased to announce a landmark event: the 62nd Anniversary Symposium and Gala Award, scheduled for August 22nd, 2026, at the Hilton London Kensington. The event will bring together Nigerian youth, stakeholders, and partners to discuss the role of the diaspora in Nigeria’s socio-economic development and celebrate outstanding achievements.
The symposium will feature high-level dialogue, expert panel discussions, and networking opportunities, providing a platform for Nigerian youth to engage with key stakeholders and share their ideas for national progress. The gala award will recognize excellence in various fields, including entrepreneurship, education, and community service, and showcase cultural performances that celebrate Nigeria’s rich heritage.
“This symposium is more than a celebration; it’s a strategic gathering to align our vision for a prosperous Nigeria,” Amb. Idahosa said. “We look forward to welcoming you to London as we mark 62 years of youth advocacy and leadership.”
The NYCN Diaspora is committed to creating a platform for Nigerian youth to connect, collaborate, and contribute to the development of their country. We believe that the 62nd Anniversary Symposium and Gala Award will be a significant milestone in this journey, providing opportunities for networking, knowledge sharing, and partnership building.
Registration and sponsorship opportunities are now open. Contact the NYCN Diaspora Secretariat for more information.
The event promises to be a memorable celebration of Nigerian youth excellence and a significant milestone in the country’s journey towards progress and development.
