Iyanya is not a newcomer to the music scene and his resilience has proven to be a key game changer for him over time. Last month he released ‘Work’ off his forthcoming EP, ‘Rumberas’ and the song has since gone ahead to further place him on the listening ears of fans and music lovers across board.

Sequel to the release of this highly anticipated EP he would be joining Davido on his European tour which kicked off on March 25th.

Frankly, going on the tour is a huge win for Iyanya, as it would give him a platform to push out his music and win the hearts of many all  over again.

Honestly, Iyanya remains a figure to be respected in Afrobeats, with a legacy rooted not just in hit records, but in influence, evolution, and his contribution to paving the way for a new generation of artistes.

Regardless of how things have been for the 39- year-old artiste he is still widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most influential artistes, known for his smooth vocals, genre versatility, and ability to craft timeless hits.

Emerging to fame after winning the maiden edition of Project Fame West Africa, Iyanya quickly established himself as a standout voice in the Afrobeats scene.

Following the release of his debut album, ‘My Story in 2009,’ he went on to dominate the music space with a string of successful singles that defined that era and earned him top spots. Songs such as ‘Kukere, Your Waist, Flavour, Sexy Mama, and Le Kwa Ukwu,’ not only enjoyed massive airplay but also became cultural anthems across Africa.

His fusion of Afro-pop with dance and highlife elements, particularly through his signature “Etighi” dance movement, set trends and elevated his brand beyond just music.

On ‘Rumberas’ he has shared it would be a four-track body of work which features Wizard Chan and Nuella Rose.

Executively produced by Iyanya and Ubi Franklin this project is set to reconnect fans to the danceable and deliciously captivating songs that we have always known Iyanya for.
