Parallex Bank Celebrates Women with International Women’s Day Event
In commemoration of International Women’s Day 2026, Parallex Bank hosted a special event for female staff on Friday, March 6, at the Bank’s headquarters, celebrating the achievements, resilience, and growing influence of women in the workplace and society.
The event, themed: “Ladies Gist Night,” brought together women across the Bank for a day of reflection, inspiration, and empowerment.
Former Chief Executive Officer, African Alliance Insurance and Executive Chairman of SoprayProperties Limited, Dr. Joyce Ojemudia, delivered an insightful session on the topic “Career and life balance”
In her address, Ojemudia shared practical perspectives on navigating personal relationships while pursuing professional growth.
She encouraged women to intentionally design their lives in a way that allows them to thrive both at home and in their careers, emphasizing that balance is achievable through clarity of purpose, support systems, and resilience.
Speaking at the event, Managing Director, Parallex Bank, Dr. Olufemi Bakre, reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to empowering women within the organization and beyond.
“We are providing a seamless platform for women in this house to take the lead. Whatever positive impact you put on the table reflects the strength of women. In every sphere, women prove that if it’s worth doing, it’s worth doing well. All women deserve to be celebrated,”he said.
As part of the activities marking the celebration, Parallex Bank also organized clinical breast examinations for female staff and wives of male staff, reinforcing the Bank’s commitment to the health and well-being of its workforce.
The initiative aimed to promote awareness on early detection and prevention of Breast Cancer, while encouraging women to prioritize regular health checks as an essential part of maintaining a healthy and productive lifestyle.
The celebration affirms a culture of inclusivity at Parallex Bankwhere women are supported to excel, lead, and make meaningful contributions to the growth of the bank.
