Mutfwang At 61: PSJ UK Felicitates Plateau Governor, Reaffirms Peacebuilding Partnership

The International Organisation for Peace Building and Social Justice UK (PSJ UK) congratulate the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barrister Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, on the occasion of his 61st birthday.

The message from the organisation comes following the Governor’s recent recognition as Silverbird Governor of the Year 2025, an honour presented at a high-profile ceremony at Eko Hotel, Lagos.
The award recognised the administration’s “New Plateau” vision, particularly its efforts to rebuild state institutions, restore public confidence in governance and strengthen security across the state.

Chief Operating Officer, General Counsel and Board Secretary of PSJ UK, Abiola Aderibigbe, who attended the Lagos ceremony as a guest of the Governor, noted that the national recognition reflects the progress being experienced across Plateau State.

“Governor Mutfwang’s leadership has come at a defining moment for the state. Leading a complex and diverse state like Plateau requires a rare blend of courage and wisdom, and His Excellency is the epitome of both. So, this national recognition is a testament to His Excellency’s unwavering commitment to justice, inclusive development, and lasting peace,” Aderibigbe said.

The relationship between the Plateau State Government and PSJ UK has developed through several strategic international engagements, including the Governor’s 2024 mission to the United Kingdom, where he met with diaspora stakeholders and policy leaders to advocate for development partnerships and peacebuilding support.

The Governor has also collaborated with PSJ UK on community-focused initiatives such as the Christmas Love Project, a humanitarian outreach programme supporting vulnerable communities during the festive season. His participation in the initiative has been cited as an important signal of commitment to unity and social cohesion across the state.

As Mutfwang marks his 61st birthday and enters his 62nd year, PSJ UK reaffirmed its commitment to supporting initiatives that promote peacebuilding, good governance and sustainable development in Plateau State.

“We look forward to continued constructive engagement with the Governor and his team. Stability and social justice remain the foundations of prosperity, and Plateau has the potential to serve as a beacon of peace for the entire nation,” Aderibigbe added.
