Darabeauties Free Makeup Training to Empower 300 Aspiring Beauty Professionals

In a bid to support aspiring makeup artists and remove financial barriers to professional training, the founder of Darabeauties, Iwalogboneda Abolore Omotayo, has launched a free makeup training programme to empower young talent in the beauty industry.

The initiative, known as the Darabeauties Free Makeup Training, is designed to equip participants with the essential skills required to build careers in makeup artistry. According to Omotayo, the programme was created to provide opportunities for individuals passionate about makeup who cannot afford professional training.

Speaking on the motivation behind the initiative, she explained that many talented individuals are unable to pursue their interest in makeup artistry because of the high cost of training and the lack of access to quality resources.

The training programme provides participants with hands-on instruction in both basic and advanced makeup techniques. It also introduces them to important aspects of professional practice, including hygiene standards, proper use of tools, and understanding different skin types and facial structures.

Omotayo said the goal is not only to teach participants how to apply makeup, but also to help them understand the principles behind the craft so they can develop their own unique style.

In addition to the training sessions, participants will also receive makeup products to support their learning and practice. She noted that the lack of access to professional tools often limits the progress of beginners, making it difficult for them to fully develop their skills.

“The idea is to give them both knowledge and the tools they need to begin their journey in the industry,” she said.

The programme also places emphasis on professionalism and continuous learning, which Omotayo believes are critical for long-term success in the beauty sector. She encouraged aspiring makeup artists to focus on originality and creativity rather than simply copying trends.

According to her, the initiative aims to produce confident and skilled makeup artists who can compete in the growing beauty industry while also building sustainable careers.

Industry observers say initiatives such as the Darabeauties Free Makeup Training could help expand opportunities in Nigeria’s fast-growing beauty sector by making professional training more accessible to young people.

Through the programme, Omotayo hopes to contribute to the development of a new generation of makeup artists who are equipped with the right skills, creativity, and professionalism needed to succeed in the industry.
