Chima Anyaso Foundation Deepens Partnership with Abia State
Bende, Abia State — Nigeria – The Chima-Anyaso Foundation, in collaboration with the Ahuoma Anyaso Educational Foundation, has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding sustainable health and economic interventions across Abia State as part of ongoing efforts to improve the wellbeing and livelihood of communities, particularly within Bende Federal Constituency.
The foundations announced plans to further strengthen their collaboration with the Government of Abia State, aligning philanthropic initiatives with the state’s broader development agenda aimed at improving healthcare access, strengthening human capital, and supporting vulnerable populations.
The renewed collaboration will see the foundations working closely with international development partners, including the World Bank Group and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, to support healthcare delivery, community-based interventions, and economic empowerment initiatives that will directly benefit residents across several communities in Abia State.
Speaking on the initiative, Chima Anyaso, representing the foundations, emphasized that the intervention reflects a long-standing commitment to social investment and sustainable development within the state.
“As part of the vision of the Chima-Anyaso Foundation and the Ahuoma Anyaso Educational Foundation, we are pleased to further strengthen our collaboration with the Government of Abia State through the provision of sustainable health and economic interventions for the people of Abia, particularly across communities in Bende Federal Constituency,” he said.
According to him, the initiative will prioritize programs that address healthcare access, disease prevention, economic inclusion, and educational support for underserved communities, particularly those facing socio-economic challenges.
He noted that partnerships with global organizations such as the World Bank Group and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, will further enhance the effectiveness and reach of these interventions by bringing international expertise, resources, and technical support to community-level development initiatives in Abia State.
Chima Anyaso also commended the leadership of Governor Alex Otti for what he described as bold and pragmatic reforms that are beginning to reshape governance and service delivery in the state.
“Our sincere appreciation goes to the able leadership of His Excellency, Governor Alex Otti, for driving realistic policies and reforms that are already translating into improved health outcomes and renewed hope for our people,” he stated.
The foundations reiterated that their work will continue to focus on education, healthcare, and human capital development, with special attention to indigent and vulnerable members of society.
Through scholarships, healthcare outreach programs, community health interventions, and economic empowerment initiatives, the organizations aim to contribute meaningfully to the long-term development of Abia State.
Observers note that the collaboration represents a growing model of public-private and philanthropic partnerships aimed at accelerating development outcomes in Nigeria, particularly in critical sectors such as healthcare and education.
For the Chima-Anyaso Foundation and the Ahuoma Anyaso Educational Foundation, the renewed partnership underscores a shared vision of building stronger communities through sustained investment in people and social infrastructure.
“As a foundation, we remain committed to expanding our footprint in education, healthcare, and human capital development, with a strong focus on supporting the indigent and vulnerable in our society, especially within communities in Bende Federal Constituency and across Abia State,” Chima added.
He expressed confidence that the partnership between the foundations, the Abia State Government, and international development partners will continue to yield positive outcomes for the people.
Chima Anyaso also expressed appreciation to Valentine Adaiwo, Senior Program Coordinator for Public Health in the Middle East and Africa at IQVIA, for his role in facilitating the meeting.
“I would like to sincerely thank Valentine Adaiwo, the Senior Program Coordinator for Public Health – Middle East and Africa at IQVIA, for making this engagement possible. Your efforts and commitment are highly appreciated,” Chima stated.
“Together, we will continue to build a healthier, stronger, and more prosperous Abia,” he concluded.
