Awareness begins with conversation, but real change demands commitment.
As part of its continued dedication to inclusion and autism awareness, Play With Stephen will host a special Masterclass and Press Conference in April at the Lakowe Resort, Lagos, in recognition of Autism Awareness Month.

This event is put together to deepen conversations around autism awareness, inclusive participation in sport, and the role of community-led initiatives in driving meaningful social change.

For six incredible years, Play With Stephen has used golf as a platform to promote inclusion and create opportunities for children and young people on the autism spectrum. The masterclass will provide an educational and interactive space where stakeholders, partners, media, and community members can engage directly with advocates and leaders within the ecosystem.

The accompanying press conference will outline the initiative’s impact over the years, highlight upcoming milestones, including the next edition of the Play With Stephen Tournament.

“Autism Awareness Month is not just about recognition, it is about unde

rstanding, access, and action”, said Stephen Oluwatoyin Onaivi, Founder of Play With Stephen.
“I believe that creating space for dialogue is the first step toward lasting inclusion. And that is what this masterclass and press conference will do. A space where conversations can move beyond awareness and into impact. Sport has the power to unite people, and we believe it can also be a powerful catalyst for inclusion.”

By convening key voices during the Masterclass and Press Conference, Play With Stephen aims to strengthen advocacy efforts, encourage broader societal participation, and inspire collective responsibility in building more inclusive environments for individuals on the autism spectrum.
Play With Stephen (PWS) is a purpose-driven sports initiative that leverages golf and cross-sport collaboration to promote inclusion, autism awareness, and community development. Through tournaments, advocacy campaigns, and educational initiatives, it continues to create platforms where sport becomes a tool for connection and meaningful social impact.
