Nasarawa Must Produce a Governor Who Understands the Youth, Rabiu Lawal
The Convener of Youth Mandate 2027, Rabiu Lawal, has emphasised the need for Nasarawa State to produce a leader who truly understands and represents the aspirations of the youth.
Lawal made the remark during a visit to his hometown, Keffi, where he renewed his voter’s card alongside members of the Nasarawa State chapter of the movement, including Muhammed Lawal and Abdullahi Doma.
Speaking during the visit, Rabiu encouraged youths and women across Nasarawa State to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and participate actively in the democratic process.
He emphasised that unity and collective participation remain the strongest tools for young people to build a powerful and influential voice capable of shaping the future of the state and the nation.
He said: “This mission is designed to run across the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, and we are proud to begin in Nasarawa State. As the saying goes, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a step. Every idea that seeks to speak to the nation must first listen to its home.
“Our mandate is to unite young people, restore their confidence in leadership, and make them understand that governance is not a closed room – it is a shared responsibility.”
Lawal also stressed that Nasarawa must produce leadership in 2027 that understands the aspirations, challenges, and energy of its youthful population.
