With a strong educational foundation, Arc. Daniyan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Bendel State University, a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, and another Master’s degree in Facilities Management from the University of Lagos. His academic achievements paved the way for a distinguished career, marked by significant contributions to major infrastructure and development projects.

Arc. Daniyan’s journey with the NCS began in 1991, after completing his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme with the Niger State Housing Corporation. Over the years, he rose through the ranks, serving in various strategic units and playing critical roles in institutional reform and asset management oversight. His dedication and expertise earned him promotions, including to the rank of Comptroller in 2023 and Assistant Comptroller-General (ACG) in 2025.

One of Arc. Daniyan’s most notable achievement was the successful launch of the Unified Customs Management System (UCMS – B’Odogwu) at the PTML Command, a landmark initiative that transformed the Nigeria Customs Service’s digital landscape. The system has enhanced efficiency, transparency, revenue assurance, and trade facilitation outcomes, cementing Arc. Daniyan’s legacy as a visionary leader.
