Elowell Max Opens Applications for Elowell Max Internship Programme (EMIP)

Elowell Max, has announced the opening of applications for the first cohort of the Elowell Max Internship Programme (EMIP) 2026, a structured initiative aimed at developing young media talents across editorial and digital publishing roles. It will run from 26^th January, 2026 to 25^th March, 2026.

EMIP is a significant development for the publication as it formalises its commitment to training emerging writers and creatives through hands-on newsroom experience. EMIP aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical media work, offering interns exposure to professional publishing standards and real-time editorial operations.

Founded in 2020 by Nigerian writer, Elohor Ogaga-Edafe, the publication focuses on African women across a range of topics. Over the years, Elowell Max has positioned itself as a platform amplifying African women’s voices while engaging contemporary societal conversations. According to the publication, interns in the programme will work closely with editors across multiple desks, contributing original content and participating in the magazine’s digital workflow.

The programme is open to applicants interested in editorial writing, features, beauty and fashion journalism, digital publishing, and visual storytelling. Interns will receive structured editorial feedback, mentorship, and portfolio-building guidance throughout the duration of the programme.

At the conclusion of the internship, participants who successfully complete the programme will receive certificates, while exceptional interns will be recognised through merit-based awards during a closing session.
