The Kaduna Business School has announced it will be hosting Dr. Dakuku Peterside, a leading authority in public sector turnaround, public policy and crisis leadership, for a leadership dialogue and book-signing session in Kaduna.

The event, titled ‘Unlocking Leadership: Beyond the Horizon’, is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at the premises of the Business School.

In a statement issued by Haggai Danjuma yesterday on behalf of the school, the interactive dialogue would focus on practical strategies for effective leadership in uncertain and complex environments, drawing from Peterside’s experience in public sector leadership and governance.

“The event will focus on strategies for effective leadership in uncertainty and complex environments, drawn from Dr. Peterside’s works and extensive experience in the public sector,” the statement said.

Danjuma noted that Peterside, a former Chairman of the Association of African Maritime Administrations (AAMA), holds a Doctorate in Organisational Behaviour with specialisation in Corporate Political Strategy.

He added that Peterside has facilitated sessions on public policy and public sector reforms at Lagos Business School and currently serves as an adjunct lecturer at several leading business schools in the country.

According to the statement, “the former Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) brings over two decades of experience in public sector leadership, public policy and governance.”

The statement further disclosed that Peterside recently unveiled two books – Leading in the Storm and Beneath the Surface – which have attracted national and international acclaim.

“Only recently, Peterside unveiled two new books – Leading in the Storm and Beneath the Surface – that have drawn national and international accolades, with many describing them as leaders’ companions,” Danjuma said.

It added that professors from Harvard and Kellogg Business Schools have endorsed Leading in the Storm as a must-read for leaders seeking to navigate challenges in both corporate and public life.

“At the event, he will discuss insights from his books and offer guidance on navigating challenges and fostering impact in professional settings,” the statement said.

Danjuma also revealed that Peterside “has delivered public lectures in 19 countries over the past decade and currently holds a two-year fellowship at the Centre for Pan African Studies, Africa University of Science and Technology, Abuja, where he researches leadership legacy, business-policy interface and crisis management in corporate settings.”

He stressed the interactive dialogue would provide participants with a valuable opportunity to network and exchange ideas on processes that engender successful leadership.
