The latest statistics on Mobile Number Portability (MNP) released by the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), showed that MTN and Globacom gained the highest subscriber acceptance in the month of October 2025.
According to the statistics, which THISDAY obtained from the official website of NCC, MTN had the highest number of subscribers from across all networks that ported into its network.
On the other hand, Globacom maintained the least number of subscribers that ported out of their original network, in search of better network, an indication that majority of Globacom subscribers believed strongly in the resilience of the Globacom network, hence their decision to remain on the network without porting out.
While MTN recorded 937 incoming subscribers, which was the highest across networks in October 2025, Globacom recorded only 193 outgoing subscribers, which was the least across networks in October 2025, according to the latest statistics released by NCC.
