NairaPoint Debuts in Lagos, Honours Funke Otti’s 40-Year Business Journey

Bankers, regulators, finance experts and business leaders, Tuesday, converged on the Ikoyi Golf Club, Lagos, for the unveiling of a new fintech platform, NairaPoint,
The event, held at the , brought , marking it’s entry into Nigeria’s fast-growing digital financial services space.


The launch of Nairapoint operations, was also an opportunity to honour the Chairman , Mrs. Funke Otti’s 40-year journey in business.
The platform is designed to deepen financial inclusion by providing secure, mobile-first solutions such as digital wallets, payment services and micro-financial products for individuals and small businesses underserved by conventional banks.
In his remarks, the Vice Chairman of NairaPoint, Dr. Mohammed Santuraki, described Mrs. Otti as a trailblazer whose resilience and leadership had set her apart in a male-dominated business environment.
He noted that her legacy of discipline and innovation aligns with the vision driving the fintech’s operations.


Also speaking, Mrs. Otti described the launch as a symbolic new beginning, built on strong partnerships, creativity and customer trust, noting that the platform would continue to evolve based on users’ needs.
According to her, “NairaPoint will leverage advanced technologies, including Artificial Intelligence Intelligence and blockchain, while adhering strictly to regulatory standards, to enable users save, transfer and grow their funds seamlessly.”
Board members, including Retired Hon. Justice Oluwatoyin Abosede Taiwo and Funola Oyewo, were present at the event, which also featured a sponsored golf kitty with prizes for outstanding players in both men’s and women’s categories.


The ceremony witnessed a gala dinner, celebrating both the official debut of NairaPoint and Mrs. Otti’s four decades in business, signalling the fintech’s ambition to play a significant role in shaping Nigeria’s digital financial future.
