Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, a leading governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, paid a courtesy visit to the executive members of the PDP in Iseyin Local Government on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the party’s secretariat.

The visit, which focused on strengthening party cohesion and deepening grassroots engagement, saw Ambassador Ajadi meet with key party officials, including the PDP Chairman in Iseyin Local Government, Alhaji Musediq Ajigbotosho Adeleas, as well as other party executive members.

Addressing the party executives, Ambassador Ajadi expressed his commitment to building on the developmental strides of Governor Seyi Makinde. He said, “I have always believed that continuity in governance ensures stability and growth. My ambition is rooted in the desire to sustain the achievements of Governor Makinde while introducing inclusive policies that will benefit every community in Oyo State.”

He further emphasised the importance of unity within the party, noting that “the strength of the PDP lies in its grassroots structures. I am here to listen, learn, and work with party leaders to ensure that our vision for Oyo State is shared and implemented with everyone on board.”

Ambassador Ajadi reiterated his commitment to service and accountability. “My mission is to ensure that the people of Oyo State experience continuity in the good governance Oyo citizens are enjoying under Governor Seyi Makinde. Together with the PDP family, we will succeed Governor Makinde,” he said.

In response, Alhaji Musediq Ajigbotosho Adele, PDP Chairman in Iseyin Local Government, welcomed the aspirant’s visit and expressed optimism about his gubernatorial bid. “Ambassador Ajadi’s approach is a testament to his dedication to the party and the people of Oyo State. His emphasis on continuity and inclusiveness resonates with our vision for sustainable development,” he said.

Sade Omikunle, the party treasurer, lauded Ajadi’s hands-on approach to engaging with local party structures, stating, “It is encouraging to see a governorship aspirant prioritise interaction with party executives at the local level. This shows that he values collaboration and transparency in governance.”

Similarly, Mrs Oyebola Latifat, the woman leader, commended Ajadi for recognising the crucial role women play in politics. She said, “We appreciate Ambassador Ajadi’s commitment to inclusivity. His visit reassures us that women will have a voice in decision-making processes under his administration.”

Ambassador Ajadi’s visit to Iseyin is part of a wider consultative tour across Oyo State, aimed at consolidating support among PDP stakeholders and articulating his policy priorities ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election. Observers note that direct engagement with party executives and grassroots members is key to strengthening party unity and laying a solid foundation for electoral success.
