Tanzania made a strong appearance at the ongoing 46th Kano International Trade Fair, displaying a wide range of agricultural and manufactured products that drew significant attention from traders and visitors.

According to the United Republic of Tanzania High Commission, the country’s exhibition highlighted premium coffee, tea, spices, sisal, and leather goods, commodities for which Tanzania is internationally recognized.

“With tea and coffee ranking among the most widely consumed beverages in Kano and across Nigeria, and spices playing an essential role in traditional medicine and local cuisine; Tanzania is well-positioned to meet Nigeria’s growing market demand.

“Tanzania currently exports Arabica and Robusta coffee, several tea varieties, and an assortment of spices to markets across Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas.

“A major development boosting commercial ties between both nations is the recent launch of direct Air Tanzania flights from Dar es Salaam to Lagos. Operating three times a week, the service has significantly improved connectivity and continues to enhance trade, tourism, and business partnerships.

“Officials noted that relations between Tanzania and Nigeria have strengthened in recent years, through engagements made by the United Republic of Tanzania, with both countries exploring deeper cooperation across various sectors. They emphasized that the growing populations and untapped economic opportunities in both nations make such partnerships increasingly valuable.
