Scholars graduate from Nigerian varsities through Ojah Foundation, KingMakers partnership
Four Nigerian students have completed their university education under the sponsorship scheme of Ojah Scholarship Foundation, in partnership with KingMakers.
The organisers of the scholarship programme, in a communique to the press, announced the four benefitting graduates to include Endurance Umokoro, University of Port Harcourt; Onyinye Omoile, University of Benin; Elizabeth Adesina, Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA); and Ibrahim Sarafadeen, Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA).
Two of the beneficiaries finished with First Class honours. They are Ibrahim Sarafadeen, Software Engineering, FUTA; and Elizabeth Adesina, Biomedical Technology, FUTA.
The foundation stated that these academic distinctions highlight the quality of support, in partnership with KingMakers, that it provides beyond financial assistance.
The foundation further stated that the success of the 2025 graduates demonstrates the transformative power of sustained support and corporate social responsibility (CSR), adding, “The foundation remains committed to expanding its impact in the years ahead, one scholar, one story, one future at a time.”
Since its establishment in 2022, the foundation has been promoting STEM education and expanding access to higher education for gifted, underprivileged Nigerian youth from various states, predominantly within the Niger Delta region.
The scholarship programme supports undergraduate students from their second or third year of study depending on when they applied for it till graduation, and there are currently 17 scholars in the programme.
According to the foundation, the renewal and sustainability of the scholarship programme “underscores the students’ dedication and the effectiveness of the organisation’s comprehensive support model of career guidance, leadership development, and welfare coverage.”
The scholarship organisers revealed plans to open applications for the next cohort of scholars during the April 2026 scholarship season, positioning itself to extend its impact to a new wave of talented students.
They appreciated KingMakers’ investment in education, adding that it represents not just financial support but also a vote of confidence in the capabilities of the youth.
The KingMakers’ partnership from inception has enabled the foundation to expand beyond traditional scholarship funding to providing study equipment, such as personal laptops.
“Their partnership has been instrumental in helping us transform challenges into limitless possibilities,” the foundation added.
In a similar development, the co-founder of the Ojah Scholarship Foundation, Bisi Olabode-Foghi, has spearheaded the launch of ‘Her Next Step’, a female mentorship programme that supports sixteen female mentees, addressing professional and leadership development.
