Young Entrepreneurs Empowered With 12 Millions At Skyewise Foundation’s Meet The CEOs Summit

Notable personalities including political and business leaders have urged Nigerian youths to embrace entrepreneurship as a way to mitigate the growing rate of unemployment and low productivity in the country despite the soaring population.

This was the crux of discussion at a business summit, Meet the CEOs (Meet the CEOs 5.0 organised by Skyewise Foundation, a subsidiary of Skyewise Group, leading Automobile, Investment, and Credit Management Company.

With the theme, “Modern Entrepreneur, Navigating an Evolving World”, the event brought together financial experts, bank executives, leadership advocates, investors, government agencies and innovators to share on how to leverage on the country’s youth population to create wealth and grow the nation’s economy.

In his presentation, Deputy speaker of the House of Representative, Rt. Hon. Ben Kalu, represented by his Chief of Staff, Sam Hart while applauding the innovative creativity of the Nigerian youths said the government is doing everything possible to create an enabling environment for them to thrive.

According him, the National Assembly is lending all the necessary support to the executive to ensure that right atmosphere is created for small scale enterprises to flourish. He called on all stakeholders support entrepreneurship, innovation and positive and drivers of positive change.

Also speaking, a Executive Director Business Development NEXIM Bank, Hon. Stella Okotette, said effective entrepreneurship requires patience, urging youths of the country to be consistent in order to achieve success as entrepreneurs.

“You will agree with me that the future belongs to those who do not wait, but those who are bold enough to create change. I’m so excited to see young CEOs, and young entrepreneurs gather in the same space striving to make a difference in our country. I urge you to utilize this opportunity to become a problem solver and make Nigeria a better place” she concluded.

Earlier in his remarks, the MD/CEO Skyewise Group, Dr. Elvis Abuyere noted that the major objective of the gathering is to help the entrepreneurs and innovators through mentorship, financial empowerment and also to discover new and emerging, young and dynamic entrepreneurs ready to achieve their goals.

“One of the objectives is to create opportunities for business to grow. We realize it is better to come closer to the entrepreneurs and innovators and groom them to become job creators through mentorship programmes and empowerment to enable them navigate the current economic realities and other challenges in the society”, he noted.

Millions of Naira were disbursed to five young entrepreneurs who were exceptional during a business pitch presentation.

They include the star prize winner, the CEO Hairverse Ventures Limited, Mercy Young who smiled home with four million Naira.

Others are, the first runner-up, the CEO Loib Crea8tive Limited, Love Ajagbe -Ayankola who won 3 million Naira and Lydia Ekpong Thompson, the second runner-up and crop All Gree Ivy Limited who smiled home with 2 million Naira.

Chinedu Emmanuel, the CEO Hemoglobin was rewarded with the sum of 1 million Naira as third runner-up.

However, there was an on the spot business pitch presentation amongst some entrepreneurs, where Mr. Huzeva Aminu emerged the winner and was instantly rewarded with the sum of 2 million naira.

Notable personalities Who graced the occasion either as speaker or panelist include: Dr. Moses Dari, who represented the deputy Gov. of Edo State, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, Uzee Usman (Nollywood actor), Inonge Imbula, (Founder Imbula Consultancy), Farida Mirzebleava, (Content Creation Coach), Joshua Chibueze, Founder, (Piggy Vest), Ebuka Ebuziem, (CEO Adire Team), Val. Okafor. Representative of the Minister of Youths development.

Others are Dr. Mrs Lois Andrew Ihwo, (CEO Dee Utensils), Mrs Lillian Elvis Abuyare, Mr.Olajide Abiola, (CEO The Destination Hotel), Mr. Ibidapo Lawal, CEO Nevaeh Limited etc.

Chris Ade, 4th Runner Up of the project fame West Africa singing competition (season 5) was on hand to serenade the audience with his magnetic voice.
