OVL Foundation Governance Team Receives Global Humanitarian Recognition

Members of the Board and Board Advisory of Omobolanle and Victor-Laniyan Foundation (OVL Foundation) have received distinguished Honorary Doctorate and Humanitarian Ambassadorial recognitions.

The awards highlight the Foundation’s sustained contributions to advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through high-impact interventions across Africa.

The honorees, comprising the Foundation’s Chairman, Dr. Victor Laniyan, Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Omobolanle Victor-Laniyan, and select Board and Advisory Members, Dr. Olufemi Ayodele, Dr. Jude Igundunase, Amb. Oyinlola Babatunde, Amb. Dr. Victor Okhai, and Amb. Oluwakayode Alakunle, have been instrumental in shaping national and regional interventions in education, health, environmental sustainability, women empowerment, economic inclusion, and youth development.

According to Dr. Jude Igundunase, Board Advisory, OVL Foundation, “every act of service, no matter how small, contributes to the transformation of society. This honour renews our dedication to advancing humanitarian initiatives that promote equity, dignity, and opportunity for all.”

The honorees have been commended for their exceptional commitment to sustainable development, social innovation, humanitarian leadership, and community resilience, noting that their work reflects the highest levels of global service and ethical stewardship.

Dr. Victor Okhai, Board Advisory, OVL Foundation, while speaking with journalists at the conferment ceremony, emphasized that the recognition strengthens the resolve of the Board to expand humanitarian programmes and deepen partnerships aimed at addressing critical development challenges.

“This global honour reinforces the international credibility of the Foundation’s governance and the vision driving our humanitarian agenda,” Dr. Okhai said.

The awards were presented at a special investiture ceremony held in Lagos, Nigeria, with plans for broader collaborative initiatives that will help advance sustainable development.
