NCDMB, Hedgerow Oil and Gas Celebrate 50 Youths Trained in Baking and Confectionery
The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) in collaboration with Hedgerow Oil and Gas today held the grand finale and certificate issuance ceremony for 50 participants in the Community Youth Employment Training program focused on Baking and Confectionery in Delta State.
This initiative aims to promote local content development, enhance employability, and foster self-reliance among Nigerian youths.
Speaking at the event, Jeffrey Omede, representing NCDMB, highlighted the board’s commitment to transforming the narratives and positioning the youth of the Niger Delta region for success.
Under the leadership of NCDMB’s Executive Secretary, Engr. Felix Ogbe, the board has been working tirelessly to develop the skills of Nigerian youths and prepare them for the demands of the industry.
The training program, which combines classroom instruction, hands-on practical sessions, and on-the-job training, equips participants with practical skills in baking and confectionery.
This comprehensive approach ensures that participants acquire both theoretical knowledge and practical expertise, making them more employable and self-reliant.
The NCDMB’s initiative to train 10,000 young Nigerians in high-demand skills for the oil and gas industry is a testament to the board’s commitment to human capital development.
This programme aligns with the Nigerian government’s goal of building a $1 trillion economy and promoting local content development.
